Acquisition mode

When your Aquaji Edge device is in Acquisition mode, it will count foot traffic and record the number of unique visitors.



  1. Set the TYPE OF USE to Acquisition.




  1. Set the ENTRY FLOW DIRECTION to match the direction of the crowd.
    Options are:
    • Top to bottom
    • Bottom to top
    • Left to right
    • Right to left




 Acquisition mode classifies each visitor using the following attributes:

  • Age range
    • 25 year old or under
    • 35 year old or under
    • 45 year old or under
    • 55 year old or under
    • 65 year old or under
  • Gender
    • Male
    • Female
  • New and returning visitors


Foot traffic and people counts


  • When counting foot traffic, Aquaji takes into account body shapes.
  • When counting people, Aquaji analyzes faces and body shapes. 
    This mode lets the software determine the audience's attributes and perform additional analysis, such as when distinguishing between staff members and customers.
